Most of our diet today has evolved together with the convenience of farming and transportation technology; more choices of refined and imported foods become easily available in the market. On the other hand, local crops variety have gradually reduced and become less appreciated. GK Organic Farm has been growing and promoting local and seasonal vegetables, as they are most resilient to our climate. In the first term of cooking demonstration for 2024, Chef Tai presents you his creative cooking with simple local vegetables. Take this opportunity to appreciate the unique flavours and re-create the cooking cultures of such vegetables in our local cuisine, and thus reviving the connection between food, the land and the people.

Meet the chef:
Tai Lee Shyong was a cruise ship chef for more than 15 years and has been involved in GK Organic Farming for 16 years since he return to Malaysia in 2007. During that time, he founded Tai’s Choice Kitchen. With the brand and concept of Tai’s Choice, his intention is to share organic food and delicious plant-based cooking with the public.
