When it comes to our overall health, we often think about diet and exercise, but oral health plays a crucial role that shouldn’t be overlooked. With an aging population and growing dental issues, Dentist Sophie aims to promote understanding of the importance of dental health to ensure people age gracefully.
About Tutor:
Sophie Lee, a veteran dentist with nearly 50 years of practice in Singapore.
She was introduced to the world of holistic healing in the nineties.
In year 2000, she joined the Tzu Chi Foundation as a volunteer, participating in dental missions to Indonesia. Through these experiences, she realised that good oral health is essential for overall well-being, and dental care must not be overlooked.
She actively participated in advocacy efforts to raise public awareness about oral health.
For two years, she appeared on Singapore’s Radio UFM1003, sharing dental care with the public.
In sight of the rising cost of medical care, she recognised the increasing importance of dental health education.
Later, she involved with Waldorf education and anthroposophic medicine, learning their strong connections to dental health.
She pursued further learning in these areas, attended lectures by Swiss anthroposophic dentist Dr Clus Haupt .
With an aging population and growing dental issues, Sophie aims to promote understanding of the importance of dental health to ensure people age gracefully.
